ARTICLE I
Name
Section1
This organization shall be known as the North Carolina Auto Diesel Instructors Association.
ARTICLE II
Purposes
The purpose of the NC Auto-Diesel Association shall be as follows:
Section 1
To promote the objective of training qualified automotive technicians.
Section 2
To promote constant upgrading of all automotive instructors.
Section 3
To provide channels of communication between instructors concerning any matter related to their profession.
Section 4
To coordinate the thoughts of member instructors concerning curriculum consistency and improvement.
Section 5
To promote recognition of our profession to other members of society.
Section 6
To promote effective communication between the automotive service industry and automotive educators.
Section 7
This organization is solely a not-for-profit organization and under that guise does not
allow for the organization or any member of the organization to realize any earnings from belonging to it.
ARTICLE III
Membership
Section1
Membership in the NC Auto-Diesel Instructors Association shall reside in those instructors whose main vocation is instructing in the Auto Mechanics, Auto Body or Diesel curriculums of Community Colleges, Technical Colleges or High Schools located in North Carolina.
Section 2
Affiliate membership shall reside in manufacturer’s representatives and auto / diesel aftermarket distributors and suppliers. Affiliate membership does not include the rights in Article 3, Sections 3 and 4.
Section 3
All paid-up members have the right to one vote in the affairs of the organization.
Section 4
All paid-up members have the right to seek any office.
ARTICLE IV
Officers
Section 1
The Association shall be presided over by a President, Vice-President, and a Secretary-Treasurer.
Section 2
The Association shall be directed by an Executive Committee consisting of the three State Officers, and the immediate past State President.
ARTICLE V
Powers of the Association
The Association shall have the following rights, powers and privileges:
- To acquire personal property by gift, bequest or otherwise, and to exchange, sell or dispose of personal property in any manner as long as the laws governing the operation of such an Association are not broken.
- To enter into, make, perform, and carry out, or cancel and rescind, contracts for any lawful purposes relating to its property or in furtherance of its purposes.
- To appoint such officers and agents as the affairs of the Association may require and to define their duties and fix their compensation.
- To make By-Laws for the government and regulation of the affairs of the Association and to amend such By-Laws from time to time in a manner therein provided.
